Boy, a lot has happened in the last eighteen months since my last post. I took over as manager at the bike shop, took the GREs, got into an MS program at USC but couldn't go because the department doesn't fund masters students, found a cool program at UCSB and started taking classes there as an extension student, applied to that program, got in, left the bike shop, moved to Santa Barbara, and just now I finished my first quarter there.
Now I'm back in Rochester for the first time in over a year, birdwatching over at Java's by the Eastman School. There's some graduation going on in the auditorium that had people lined up around the block (literally). I was in there earlier trying to find an open practice room but all the doors are locked. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow...
